Over 15 Years ago, we decided to buy our own Villa in Spain, to design and build our own holiday experience. It had to be suitable for all of us to use and enjoy coming year after year. One of the main reasons for choosing this area of Spain was for the weather (the best climate in Europe). It is also superbly located to lots of different activities that we really enjoy, skiing; golf; paragliding; walking; horse riding; kite surfing you get the idea, lots to do and see. The Villa must comfortably accommodate the nine of us to give us plenty of room, so that we are not tripping over each other and invading each other’s space. 15 years on and now 8 grand children we all still love coming and hate leaving. We hope you will love Villa Dama De La Sierra as much as we do :)

The Alhambra Palace in Granada is considered a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a symbol of Spain’s and Europe’s culture. The number of visits to the Alhambra Palace sky rocketed years ago and reached a whooping two million people per year.
Probably one of the only places in the World where in Winter you can go skiing in Granada in the morning and have a swim in the Sea on the way home in the afternoon!
With 3 patios, 9 sun beds, 12 chairs a formal dinning room and lounge with 55" surround sound TV, you are spoilt for choice. We have a big family and the villa swallows us up whole! We love each other, but sometimes you need a little me time, and there are lots o places you can escape out of the way to :)
If this is your way to relax, you are in for a treat. Loads of trails to choose from for all levels of fitness. OR! take the La Maroma challenge, walk from the villa to the top and back in less than 10 hours! It's a one hell of walk, a great experience and the views from the top a amazing. It's not for the faint hearted and a reasonable level of fitness is a must.
Driving 20 minutes inland from the coast offers you a very different perspective. You gain 600m (1.900feet)of altitude and those views! You also get the real Spain, white washed villages with squares where people sit and chat in the shade. Life rolled back to a bygone age that we have forgotten. Have I motioned the prices? As you leave the coast behind you leave the inflated prices too! Drink it all in, you will never want to leave, you can afford stay longer now.:)
